Jumped into the exciting competitive world of business. Wore many hats as builder, hotelier, consultant, inventor and designer till the inner urge to paint surfaced. Self-taught painter. Broke away from the shackles of traditional painting to blaze a new trail and the innovative, dynamic "Third Eye Series" was born. The Third Eye is an artist's attempt to capture the humane form, as viewed from many different angles, and to place all the separate images in one painting. We see only the front view of a figure with both our eyes. If we can also see the back side or the sides with a third eye, we can get a 360 degree view of the figure and the total, all encompassing image will reveal itself in its full beauty, as nothing is hidden. Third Eye Series can best be appreciated if the viewer can look deeply and concentrate on the paintings. Several images, having different shapes will then emerge from the painting. Like the yogic practice and meditation, if the viewer looks at the paintings with a vacant mind which is free from all distraction, the Third Eye Series can help reach a state of mind that is quiet, vacant and silent, which in turn will bring peace and happiness. |
